Vegas survivors embrace life despite challenges

Las Vegas: It has been a year since the 36-year-old Southern California sheriff's deputy attended a country music festival that was attacked by a gunman perched in a high-rise hotel on the Las Vegas strip. Jason McMillan has spent a month in a hospital, more than a month in a rehabilitation facility and countless hours in physical therapy trying to regain use of his legs while coping with stares from passers-by who wonder why the seemingly healthy young man can't walk.
