Anti-Terror Agency Attaches 6 Properties Of Jaish Terrorist In J&K

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday attached six immovable properties of a top terrorist of the banned terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed in Jammu and Kashmir. The attached land parcels of arrested terrorist Asif Ahmed Malik are located in Mirpora and Pulwama, the NIA said in a statement. The properties were attached under Section 33 (1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967, on the orders of the NIA Special Court, Jammu. Asif Ahmed Malik was arrested on January 31, 2020, in a case related to transportation of terrorists, infiltration into Kashmir from across the border, and seizure of arms and explosives from terror operatives of JeM. The NIA charge-sheeted him on July 27, 2020, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Explosive Substances Act, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1933. Haryana Government Loses Majority As 3 Independent MLAs Support Congress

In a setback to the ruling BJP in Haryana amid the Lok Sabha elections, three Independent MLAs today announced that they have withdrawn their support to the Nayab Singh Saini-led government in the state. The three MLAs - Sombir Sangwan, Randhir Gollen and Dharampal Gonder - also said that they have decided to extend support to the Congress during the elections. They made the announcement at a press conference held in Rohtak in presence of former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and state Congress chief Udai Bhan. "We are withdrawing support to the government. We are extending our support to the Congress," Mr Gonder said. Chhattisgarh Man Arrested For GST Fraud Worth Rs 71 Crore

A man was arrested in Raipur in Chhattisgarh on Saturday for allegedly evading GST through bogus input tax credits worth Rs 71.38 crore, an official said. The Central Goods and Service Tax (CGST) official identified the accused as Sarvesh Kumar Pandey. Sarvesh Pandey connived with one Hemant Kasera who was held last month for creating and managing a web of 13 fictitious firms to avail fake credit amounting to Rs. 62.73 crore, of which Rs. 51.42 crore was passed on to several other recipients till Feb 2024. "Sarvesh Pandey not only purchased fake bills from Hemant Kesara but also from other fraudulent firms. Pandey availed Rs 71.38 crore using bogus ITC to evade GST. Noida College Gets Notice Over Poor Food Quality, Unhygienic Conditions

The administration of a private college in Greater Noida and its canteen operator were served notice by the Food Safety Department for alleged poor food quality and unhygienic conditions on Saturday, officials said. Purported pictures also surfaced on social media, showing mosquitoes and insects in certain food items. The inspection was carried out over complaints by some students who expressed dissatisfaction about cleanliness and standards of the food quality served to them by the canteen, a senior official said. Assistant Food Commissioner (II) Archana Dheeran said the inspection was carried out at the canteen of Aryan Residency of Lloyd College in the Knowledge Park area of Greater Noida.
